HAT Projects - architecture and planning practice

We enjoy the challenges and constraints of commercial development – meeting the budget and delivery plan of the client, the needs of future unknown users, the demands of urban context and planning. Both directors have experience at a variety of scales, from urban infill sites in central London to larger masterplanning of mixed-use development. Tom has worked on several projects for Dorrington Properties and Hana worked for Omega Land and other developers while at GPA.

The process of delivering commercial projects generally demands an appropriate, rather than extravagant, response to brief and site – doing simple things well - and a sound understanding of the planning process. These buildings need to be adaptable, to meet ever-higher standards of energy efficiency and increasingly, to make an active contribution to the public realm. We emphasise robust design and a holistic approach to integrating building servicing.
