We offer a variety of client support services to enable projects to come successfully to fruition. These include project planning, brief-writing, feasibility studies, client representation, and stakeholder or community consultation. On the new Jerwood Gallery, we developed the project with the client from the earliest stage, helping to define the mission and strategic plan, producing the design brief and managing the project process.
We believe that good brief-setting enables clearer decision-making, less risk and more efficiency in the project's delivery. Creating a brief may be as simple as an in-depth workshop with a client, or it may involve research, stakeholder and public engagement, site appraisals and outline design studies. Hana Loftus has previously worked with clients to develop briefs and project plans from the large-scale – in Thurrock while at General Public Agency, and the new Lea River Park with 5th Studio – to individual buildings.
